It’s been about a month and a half since I started my intuitive eating adventure. It feels longer? It feels shorter? It feels natural most days. I’ve been doing less lunch meal prep, which is fine. Some weeks I get the urge for a real lunch prep, but most weeks I’m perfectly content with a sandwich. It’s a liberating feeling.
Mostly this post was to share that I have ABSOLUTELY missed savory breakfasts. For the last month and a half almost ALL of my breakfasts have been the same, and once I tuned in to how much food is the right amount of food for breakfast it’s been perfect!
It’s so simple, I have time to play some Animal Crossing in the morning before making breakfast. This takes 10 minutes to make. Then I bring it up to my desk, review my calendar for the day, and jot some notes while enjoying this delicious breakfast delight.
Really all of this to say that I think the intuitive eating thing is going well for me. I have some days when I feel bad about what or how much I’ve eaten or drank, but overall most days are good. I still haven’t been able to get rid of the scale, but I think I’m close. I’m hoping by the time I’m done reading the book I’ll be ready to give up the scale for good.
Oh! And the back injury is finally mended so more movement for me! Went for a nice long walk yesterday, and it felt great.
